QualCards ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting the privacy of individuals whose personal information we collect and use. This Privacy Policy outlines how we handle personal data provided to us by employers.

 

INFORMATION WE COLLECT

We collect the following personal information about individuals ("employees") for the purpose of displaying their industry qualifications:

 

  • Name

  • Company of employment

  • Industry qualifications

  • Photo

 

HOW WE USE PERSONAL INFORMATION

The collected information is used to produce a QualCard, a physical ID card featuring the employee’s name, company, and a QR code. When scanned, the QR code links to a webpage displaying the employee’s name, photo, company, and qualifications.

 

DATA STORAGE AND SECURITY

All data is securely stored within New Zealand, and we employ a randomly generated 6-digit number as part of each QR code URL to enhance security. Access to this information is limited to authorised personnel and client companies that engage our services.

 

DATA RETENTION

We retain an employee’s information for the duration of their employment with the company engaging our services and for an additional two-week period after their departure. During this time, if the employee begins work with a new company, the new employer may contact us to request that the employee's information be assigned to them.

 

ACCESS AND UPDATES TO INFORMATION

Client companies can access employee’s information by submitting a request. They may also inform us of new employees, additional qualifications, or any necessary updates to current records.

 

ACCURACY OF INFORMATION

We are not responsible or liable for any inaccuracies in the information provided, as all personal information is submitted to us by the employee's employer. It is the employer’s responsibility to ensure the accuracy of the data before submission.

 

CONSENT

Employees’ consent to data collection, use, and sharing with QualCards is managed by their employers. We rely on the employer to ensure that all necessary consents have been obtained from their employees.

 

DATA SHARING WITH THIRD PARTIES

We do not share personal data with any third-party organisations outside of the authorised client companies and as required by law.

 

DATA SECURITY

We take data security seriously and use industry-standard measures to protect personal information from unauthorised access, alteration, or disclosure.
